Academic Scheduler

The University of South Carolina (USC) is seeking someone who is organized, hard-working, and detail-oriented to serve as the Academic Course Scheduler with University 101 Programs. University 101 Programs is an internationally renowned academic unit that focuses on helping students transition into, through, and out of the University of South Carolina. We offer 6 different courses with a total annual enrollment of close to 7000 students. These courses are taught by over 500 instructors and peer leaders.

This position will support this work by facilitating the creation and management of the master schedule for over 400 sections of UNIV courses during the academic year, managing the instructor credentialing process, supporting UNIV instructors, and coordinating logistics for various departmental events. This position will also supervise the administrative assistant position and serve as an integral part of the University 101 Programs team.

Preferred candidates for this position will have at least a bachelor s degree, knowledge of the scheduling process at USC, and experience working in higher education. The successful candidate will join a talented and experienced department whose work has significant impact on faculty, staff, and students at USC.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Requires a bachelor s degree and 3 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with relevant systems including Banner and Data Warehouse.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to interpret university policies.
