Job Summary:
In this position you will be a proactive and challenging member of North America team. The OEM Business Controller, Automotive USA works in a dynamic and impactful environment. As a trusted finance business partner, you will lead the analytical and controlling process of the country, highlight the business risks, provide innovative solution, and co-drive the sustainable & profitable growth with the country head.
Job Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the USA OEM business performance.
- Demonstrate responsibility of accuracy in legal reporting and compliance.
- Drive actual results for the P&L & Working Capital to achieve/exceed Plan.
- Maintain product and customer mix analysis, sales analysis and customer/channel profitability assessment, market performance evaluation, margin & cost analysis.
- Drive Continuous Improvement Cost Saving Initiatives with the Management team.
- Measure for Year over Year improvement, including optimization of Working Capital/Inventory Levels.
- Drive controlling processes: yearly planning process (Strategic Plan, BP), monthly forecasts, monthly close activities, regular pulse meetings, and transformation project meetings.
- Perform yearly Standard Cost Calculation.
- Ensure that Standard Cost calculation, reporting, accounting, other financial and controlling matters are in line with SKF and local legal requirements.
- Drive change within SKF for continuously improving business support, digitalization, and challenge current processes.
- Identify risks and opportunities and initiate proactive and corrective actions.
- Identify / initiate actions to improve profitability (e.g. cost down initiatives, operations restructuring, financial analysis and modeling).
- Manage Sales target setting and sales incentive plan calculations.
- Customer deal review and ROI calculations.
- Working capital management (focus on inventory, accounts payables, Trade Receivables).
- Help the Regional Business Controller actively manage new business opportunities.
- Assist with the new business management process, visualization, pipeline sufficiency, conversion rates, risk and opportunities, support needed, data quality, Support sales team simulating customer offers, review and approve price quotations, etc.
- Other activities required by Regional Business Controller.
Job Education, Experience, and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in finance related major, MBA is a plus. CPA/ ACCA/ CMA certificate is also preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive controlling experience in Automotive industry, with full value chain experience is preferred.
- High level analytical capabilities with strong business sense.
- Good communication and collaboration and leadership skills
- Interest in people and relationship/-network management.
- 10% to 15% travel, some international travel.
- Feel responsibility of accuracy in legal reporting and compliance.
- Have strong interest in Auto business, interacting with different functions across the value chain in a global environment.
- You should be structured, results oriented, collaborative, familiar in a global environment and able to go beyond the numbers.
