Position Overview: As a Controls Engineer, you will utilize standard engineering practices to design, develop, and maintain instrumentation and control systems. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the efficiency and reliability of these systems, which are vital for the seamless operation of various processes and technologies. Key Responsibilities:
Automation & Process Enhancement: Implement automation in manufacturing or similar processes through instrumentation or control systems.
PLC Development: Create new and modify existing PLC applications, interfaces, or embedded controls.
Technical Expertise: Develop and update PLC or HMI applications, interfaces, or embedded controls.
Documentation & Compliance: Complete all necessary documentation specifications and operational procedures accurately.
Safety Adherence: Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality policies to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other tasks as assigned to support team and operational needs.
Qualifications:
Experience: A bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting are typically required.
Knowledge: A solid understanding of Beckhoff PLC control systems for automated grinding, Fanuc machine controllers for Swiss-style machines, and Allen Bradley PLC systems for assembly machines is essential. The ability to integrate IoT with machine controls and PLEX MRP systems is desired.
Skills: Proficiency in interpreting work instructions, following verbal and written directions, and effective communication is necessary. Candidates must demonstrate manual dexterity and physical stamina, including the capability to lift and move heavy objects.
Team Collaboration: A strong ability to work cooperatively as part of a team is essential.
