Description

Mid-level data center technician, with experience in network upgrades and cabling. They will be tasked with upgrading T2 networking devices in a data center environment. 2-month extendable project with possibility of extension/conversion to long-term role. For reference, our current team which started at 1-month contracts are slated to go through March so at least 6 months. The project involves: staging, cabling, decommissioning of the old devices, installation of the new ones, link validation, cable replacement, then cleanup/reporting. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in an enterprise datacenter environment. Experience: - Removal and Installation of T2 chassis - Deployment - Cabling (Fiber, Copper, Power, and Optical) - Rack/stack - Network upgrading - Troubleshoot Network connectivity - Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission - Use ticketing system - Ability to login to chassis manager - Run/Label/Stage Power & Networking cables - Unbox, Movement, Staging of datacenter accessories for deployments - Physical Audits of datacenter assets - QC Cabling and labelling standards - Handle complex RMA & swaps parts - Scope, test, QC, and troubleshoot Power, cable connections 2 Weekday Techs: M-F 7:30am-5:30pm, 1HR OT at 1.5x pay. 2 Weekend Tech: Sat/Sun 7:30am-5:30pm. 1HR OT at 1.5x pay.

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00
