This position is available to Virginia residents as Richmond or Lynchburg, VA Hybrid in-office applicants or remote applicants residing in states/locations under Eastern or Central Standard Time: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, Vermont, West Virginia or Wisconsin.

    

YOUR ROLE

Serves as a developer and administrator on the TM1 Applications team.  As an expert in TM1 technologies, you will be responsible for delivering solutions that streamline and automate several key Genworth finance functions.  Be a trusted partner with Finance business leaders, initiating change with innovative solutions and powerful recommendations.  Provide support for multiple applications built on the TM1 platform to provide Financial Reporting and Analysis, Budgeting and Forecasting, Modeling, Allocations, and other important finance capabilities.  You will be part of the experienced and highly functioning Corporate Systems IT team, working closely with the Oracle General Ledger, Treasury, and HR teams.

What you will be doing

  • System and Application Administration, Modeling, & Development; Support for TM1 applications and multiple system interfaces
  • Work independently and in collaboration with business leaders across several finance functions, offshore support team, IT Data Center & other IT teams, lead projects
  • Provide technical expertise in designing, documenting, and coding new business initiatives
  • Ability to discern & translate complex business requirements into optimal technical solutions
  • Lead and/or participate in analysis, design, and coding of TM1 application enhancements and new TM1 applications
  • Develop applications using TM1 Architect, TurboIntegrator (ETL tool), and TM1 Rules
  • Develop and enhance dynamic TM1 reports, including VBA/Excel modules
  • Develop test plans and scripts to validate the successful design, development, and implementation of application and reporting deliverables
  • Ensure data security while providing users the correct access to data within TM1 required to perform their job function
  • Schedule production TM1 processes, run ad hoc jobs, and monitor to ensure successful completion
  • Work closely with internal business partners to resolve issues and identify root cause of problems when they occur
  • Plan for and install TM1 software upgrades, research and implement new software features

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer and/or finance or accounting related fields
  • Minimum 3 Years of experience as an applications developer
  • Minimum 2 Years of application support experience
  • Minimum 2 Years of Financial System exposure
  • Proficient in IBM TM1 platform and tools (aka IBM Planning Analytics), or other OLAP (OnLine Analytical Processing) multi-dimensional databases
  • Proficient in TM1 Architect, TurboIntegrator, Rules, TM1 Administration
  • Strong Excel / VBA foundation

Nice to have

  • Practical knowledge of Financial Reporting and Planning business processes
  • Experience in or working knowledge of Oracle General Ledger system
  • Experience in writing VBA scripts, Windows batch scripts and/or Powershell
  • Experience in Oracle SQL coding
  • Experience managing applications on Linux
  • Experience with containerized application architecture
  • Strong ability to interface with organizational customers and stakeholders
  • Have project leadership ability and business acumen
  • Ability to deliver effectively in a fast paced environment

The base salary pay range for this role starts at a minimum rate of $ 70,700 up to the maximum of $128,100. In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible to participate in an incentive plan. The incentive plan is based on performance and the target earning opportunity is 7% of your base compensation.  The final determination on base pay for this position will be based on multiple factors at the time of this job posting including but not limited to geographic location, experience, and qualifications to ensure pay equity within the organization.
