Job Description:

HOW AN AV TECH WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Be responsible for audio visual and administrative support of response-related functions.

  • Provide meeting support to the Incident Manager (IM), Deputy Incident Manager(s) (DIM), Chief of Staff (CofS), and the Operations Chief for response activities.

  • Assist in reviewing emails that are requesting support in relation to the response and EOC operations.

  • Monitor the events scheduled on the daily staff rhythm and EOC operations calendar.

  • Setup and prep conference rooms (actual/virtual) ahead of meetings.

  • Moderate audio bridge lines in support of Conference Calls.

  • Coordinate scheduling and support Envision video conferencing, audio and web conferencing applications (Web Ex, ZOOM and Skype for Business).

  • Conduct monthly AV systems checks and document issues with recommended solutions.

  • Perform basic copier/printer maintenance.

  • Assist with work encompassing shift assignments to support 24/7/365 operations

  • Understanding of audio and visual signals for various application types

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: High School Diploma, or BS

  • Required Experience: 5+ years of related AV experience as outlined above

  • Previous CDC or Federal Health experience is highly desired.

  • Required Technical Skills: Relevant AV Tech Skills as indicated above (Zoom, Teams etc.)

  • Required Skills and Abilities: Willingness to support 24/7/365 Emergency Operations as needed,

  • Preferred Skills: Strong written and oral communication, good organizational skills

  • Location: On Site

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $27.73 - $37.51. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
