We are seeking a dedicated Transformer Assembler I for our client in Santa Ana, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise and timely assembly of sub-assemblies and assemblies for dry-type transformers, adhering to customer specifications and quality standards.

 

Job Title: Transformer Assembler 2nd Shift

Location: Santa Ana, CA

Pay Range: $22.00

 

What’s the Job?

  • Assemble transformer sub-assemblies and complete assemblies according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Operate cranes to move transformers and materials safely.
  • Work with sheet metal to construct transformer legs and related components.
  • Perform point-to-point wiring during the assembly of Power Distribution Units.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and gauges to assemble, adjust, or repair products.
  • Conduct visual inspections of materials and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met, making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment using 5S+ principles.
  • Adhere to company environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Provide process and safety improvement suggestions.

 

What’s Needed?

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, packaging, or construction.
  • Previous experience with mechanical assembly, maintenance, or repair.
  • Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow SOPs accurately.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and measuring tapes.
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks with precision and attention to detail.
  • Steel toe shoes are required.
  • All other PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, sleeves, gloves, etc.) will be provided by the site.
