This position will be responsible for winding transformer coils used in electrical equipment and instruments or as electronic components. Coils are built according to wiring diagrams, sample coil, or work order, using coil-winding machines and hand tools. Reviews diagrams and work order or examines sample coil to ascertain type and size of wire specified, and type, size, length, circumference, and primary and secondary windings of coil to be wound. This is 6.5 hours of work each day M-F with a 30 minute unpaid lunch. Individual must be able to train on 2nd shift until 3rd shift launch date scheduled in November. 3rd shift work is accompanied with a $3.00 shift premium. Day 1 orientation: 7:00 AM- 2:30 PM Day 2 schedule and beyond for a training period of up to 8 weeks: 4:00 PM-11:00 PM Beginning in November: 10:00 PM- 5:00 AMsalary: $25 - $25.5 per hourshift: Firstwork hours: 4 PM - 11 PMeducation: High SchoolResponsibilities• Wind standard coils for dry type transformers • Perform welding and/or brazing to join bus bars to foil • Utilize hook-up/hot work assembly tools to meet production demands • Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to production quality standards related to coil dimension, bus bar location, etc. • Maintain a minimum of 80% of productivity time standards • Interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics and blueprints • Keep all work areas clean, organized and presentable • Comply with all applicable U.S. export control and security regulations • Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
