Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWhat You'll Do
The Welder timely and accurately builds Transformer sub-assemblies and assemblies to customer specifications using mechanical or power hand tools, machines, gauges, soldering and brazing equipment.

In this Function You Will
•Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to build sub-assemblies and assemblies
•Use heavy industrial equipment, including cranes, fabrication, welding and brazing equipment
•Provide assistance to other sheet metal fabricators / operators in performance of their duties as required.
•Be responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembly
•Use various fixtures, gauges, hand tools, power tools, MIG welders to assemble, adjust, or repair product
•Inspect completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and making necessary adjustments when required in order to meet quality goals
•Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion
•Adhere to company, environmental, health, safety rules and regulations
•Provide process and safety improvement idea.
•Observe all health/hygiene and safety policies as directed and specified.
•Ensure machines and tools are properly calibrated and perform housekeeping duties as necessary using the principles of 5S+

Required Qualifications
•High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
•Completed welding, brazing, MIG, or aluminum welding certifications
•Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
•Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Skills
•6 months experience in welding, and brazing
•Experience in manufacturing, production, packaging or construction, or equivalent education
•Previous experience with standard operating procedures
