SUMMARY
The Production Foreman has to ensure that within their responsibility area the preparation and execution of the tasks are complete and according to schedule. They are also to assure the check and release of the work results are carried out according to the requests and rules of the PSI HSE and quality management system. This is an in-person position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This is an in-person position.

Ensure that all PSI safety procedures, rules and regulations are followed and met
Provide Leadership, instruction and control of production teams
Motivation of Supervisors
Responsible for taking care of quality standards, costs & schedule completion
Provide daily feedback of work progress to Department Manager
Responsible for optimal work organization
Review and issue planned target hours to Supervisors
Establish and maintain shift turnover meeting with Supervisors
Knowledge and clear understanding of budgets, and forecast man hours
Verify and ensure maximum employee utilization through Effective Working Hours
Identify performance issues and implement corrective actions
Implement and maintain automated welding processes
Review work scope, key targets and execute to plan
Maintain man hour backlog to a controllable level to assure schedule
Confirm Supervisor man hour commitments and completion dates
Assure assignments are completed to plan
Work package review and acceptance
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTY
Oversee the roles and responsibilities of supervisors and team members in the department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
In shipyards with shipbuilding production or ship repair
In business with manufacturing of heavy steel structures
In production of pressure vessels, boilers & other quality products
Experience with automated production lines
Experience in leading Supervisors and production teams


5 years’ professional experience:


Understand blueprints, 3-D drawings and technical documents
Knowledge and understanding of safety rules and procedures
PC skills desirable

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Environmental exposures are similar to those found in most heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes and smoke. Work may be carried on indoors or outdoors, and may involve exposure to inclement weather conditions.

This is a full-time, safety-sensitive position. Standard days and hours of work vary by department, days and hours determined by department schedules.
