About the role

We are seeking an experienced Foreman who will oversee and manage our jobsite crew members and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.  The Foreman will supervise all mechanics on a jobsite crew to ensure work meets quality standards and adheres to the proper specification.  The Foreman will also ensure that junior members of the team are properly trained through on-the-job experience to support their career development.

Location

· West Chester, PA

Compensation

· Hourly Rate: $32 - 34.50 per hour

· Overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

· Provide leadership and oversight of job crews

· Ensure safety and quality standards

· Handle unforeseen problems with customers

· Develop and maintain relationships with managers, office staff, mechanics, and customers

· Prepare paperwork for materials, labor time & costs

· Compile and maintain material lists

· Allocate manpower needed and not needed for jobs

· Accurately measure for new orders

Qualifications

· 8 years of experience in residential construction, preferably with windows, doors, or siding installation

· 2 years in a leadership position

· Excellent verbal and written communication

· Ability to make quick decisions under pressure

· Advanced organizational skills

· Advanced understanding of structures, their components, and proper building terminology.

· Knowledge of building codes

· Willingness to work 45+ hours per week

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software

· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for job site visits

· Knowledge of energy-efficient products and installation techniques a plus

Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods of standing and working outside in all types of weather.

· Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.

· Must have adequate balance and ability to climb ladders and scaffolding.

· Must be able to lift 100 pounds at times.

· Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.

· Requires travel to jobsites within a predetermined radius in a company-provided vehicle.
