Print Shop Production Assistant

Summary:

Assist in digital print and copy production work

Perform and complete finishing requirements for digital press and copier projects according to the job specifications

Prepare according to the workload schedule that is timely and efficient

Delivery driving as needed

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in production of digital print and copy jobs
  • Bindery skills - This may include: folding, cutting, padding, numbering, GBC punching, spiral or coil binding, collating, scoring, perforating, drilling, stitching or stapling, laminating and wrapping
  • Establish priorities by dates on work order/job tickets and when necessary, priorities set by management
  • Assist in mail shop
  • Ensure all jobs are placed in proper locations before leaving
  • Deliveries when needed
  • Reject poor quality or incorrect jobs and notify management
  • Work with other staff members to exceed customer satisfaction and service expectations
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year in digital print production
  • Minimum of 1 year in bindery operation necessary
  • Able to lift and deliver 50 pound boxes. Good driving record a must
  • Good mathematical skills

Working Environment: Exposure to airborne particles such as paper dust. Noise can be loud sporadically. Subject to frequent priority changes where a fast-pace and short notice occur regularly. Standing for long periods is necessary. Appearance at all times must represent the company image

Compensacin: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
