We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mid-Level Print Production Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in print production, with hands-on experience in operating and maintaining various printing equipment. This role requires an individual who can manage the entire print process from pre-press to final output, ensuring high-quality results that meet our clients' specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operation of Printing Equipment:
  • Operate digital, large format printers, and other related equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of printing machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Pre-Press and Setup:
  • Prepare files for print, including checking for resolution, color accuracy, and proper formatting.
  • Set up and adjust press settings to accommodate different paper types, sizes, and print specifications.
  • Quality Control:
  • Monitor the print production process to ensure consistency and quality of output.
  • Conduct quality checks on printed materials, identifying and correcting any issues or defects.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain inventory of printing supplies, including paper, ink, and other consumables.
  • Order supplies as needed and keep accurate records of usage.
  • Project Management:
  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams to understand print requirements and deadlines.
  • Manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
  • Technical Support:
  • Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and other staff members.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in print production.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in print production preferred.
  • Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a print production environment.
  • Proficiency in operating digital printers, large format printers, and other printing equipment.
  • CNC/Laser experience is a bonus. (willing to teach)
  • Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
