New The **Electro-Mechanical Assembler** is responsible for performing operations in preparation, connection and assembly of various electrical and electronic components into temperature controllers. In this role, the Electro-Mechanical Assembler will provide assistance to other Assemblers or other production personnel when necessary.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **include the following:**

* Build, assemble and/or prep other products to proper specifications required as per Job Instruction Sheet;

* Position and attach hardware, such as backplane and rack assemblers, power panel assemblers and cabinet wiring as per JIS;

* Precision assemble soldering, de-soldering and related equipment and devices;

* Ensure subassemblies and circuit boards are correctly assembled to given specifications or blueprint;

* Conduct electrical wiring continuity check up to the applicable general electrical wiring diagram and electronic component layout(s);

* Utilize various hand tools (voltmeter, ammeter, or ohmmeter) required to perform daily tasks;

* Select or distribute materials, supplies, and subassemblies to work area for assembly work;

* Conduct inspection on incoming material as required;

* Conduct receipt process (i.e. verify quantity, match receipts to items shipped, update status and note discrepancies);

* Read work orders, instructions, formulas, or processing charts

* Complete minor troubleshooting as required;

* Notify Supervisor when work times are incorrect, or product will not meet timelines;

* Make recommendations for productivity and/or method improvements;

* Ensure ISO guidelines are followed; follow Job Instruction Sheets and Tag Procedures etc

**Skills/Experience:**

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and good manual dexterity is required. The incumbent must be capable of reading and interpreting documents such as safety policy and procedures, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

* A mechanical aptitude, ability to apply common sense and problem solve involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is required

* Ability to read/interpret blueprints and job instruction sheets; ability to work well on own; and must possess electronic/mechanical component identification skills as well as the ability to operate assorted small hand tools;

**Education:**

Must have completed secondary school and hold a minimum, High School Diploma with six (6) months of electronic/electrical assembly experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
