RESPONSIBILITIES

The Purchasing Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of materials, goods, and services required for our operations.

Develop and implement procurement and inventory management strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Enforce, enhance, and create purchasing policies as needed
Source, evaluate, and select suppliers/vendors based on quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery capabilities.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
Forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
Provide purchasing forecasts and maintain reorder point levels in line with inventory optimization strategy.
Manage product record creation and maintenance in the ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365) in line with data integrity standards.
Establish and maintain effective cycle count program for ongoing use.
Provide inventory adjustment analysis to management.
Implement strategy for liquidating obsolete inventory.
Oversee production and assembly processes and ensure accuracy of refurbished inventory.
Oversee inventory security and maintain access profiles within ERP system.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as operations, finance, and quality assurance to ensure alignment in procurement strategies and supply chain activities.
Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, and service.
Implement and maintain effective supplier relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, ethical practices, and company policies throughout the procurement process.
Oversee the procurement team's activities, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement performance, efficiency, and cost savings.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in procurement and supply chain management.



Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred
3+ years of proven experience in procurement
Supervisory experience a plus
Strong understanding of procurement best practices, supplier management, and negotiation techniques.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of achieving cost savings and process improvements through strategic sourcing and supplier management.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, guide, and mentor a procurement team.
Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
