In this role, the candidate will directly support the Propulsion Acquisition Division at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and provide system design, development, integration, and test products and subject matter expertise of a wide variety of aircraft engines for the US Air Force. The candidate will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total aircraft propulsion systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities As part of the candidate's primary duties, they will: Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical and engineering principles Perform functional analysis, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware and software specifications Apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to speed innovation, increase operating efficiencies and assist in development, integration and certification of complex systems Participate in the System Engineering life cycle, including requirements development, architecture development, system analyses (reliability, maintainability, etc.), integration and test planning, and system verification Employs various testing, analysis, and modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance Apply requirements for propulsion systems, auxiliary power systems, and vehicle fuel and tank systems
