Job Summary: Prepares pre-plated meals necessary for service in elementary and secondary schools. Large quantity production performed while adhering to federal National School Lunch Program ("NSLP") regulations. Ensures that a quality, nutritious and cost-effective meal program is available daily to students, staff, and parents, and the community.

Starting Hourly Rate: Grade 3A: $16.60 - $25.99 DOE
Work Hours: 7.5 hours per day
Work Year: 9 months
Bargaining Unit: Education Support Staff Association (ESSA)

Job Qualifications/Requirements (please review job description for qualifications and duties of the position):
  1. Strong oral and written communication skills.
  2. Mathematical skills including basic calculations.
  3. Ability to work with detailed information/data and maintain strict confidentiality of written and oral information and records.
  4. Must be able to work with both hands and in a fast and efficient manner.
  5. Per DEC regulations, must have or be able to pass Food Handlers course 30 days after
    hire and maintain certification.
