Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality meals, while also overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including soups, salads, entrees, and desserts, following approved recipes and production standards.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, dishwashers, and other food-service associates, to ensure that they are meeting the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, including food, supplies, and equipment, to ensure that we have the necessary resources to meet our culinary needs.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, including responding to complaints and resolving issues in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including adhering to all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role in a high-volume kitchen.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent cooking and leadership skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of quality and service.
Benefits:
