We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Biller to join our dynamic team

Responsibilities:

- Review and analyze medical records and documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing

- Assign appropriate ICD-10, and DRG codes to medical procedures and diagnoses

- Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement

- Monitor and track the status of submitted claims

- Investigate and resolve claim denials or rejections in a timely manner; must have experience with appeals & denials

- Collaborate with insurance companies to address any billing discrepancies

- Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries (EOBs)

- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve coding and billing discrepancies

- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

- Utilize various systems and software to input and retrieve coding information accurately

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred

- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification strongly preferred

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical coding or revenue cycle management

- Proficient in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

- Strong knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems

- Familiarity with medical office procedures and billing practices

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding assignments

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
