The Solutions Architect is a pivotal role in our IT department, responsible for designing and implementing robust technology solutions that align with our strategic goals. This position requires a deep understanding of both business needs and technical capabilities, ensuring that our IT infrastructure supports our growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements, translate them into functional design documents, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Solution Design and Development: Lead the design and development of scalable, efficient IT solutions that meet business requirements. This includes creating technical design documents and ensuring the integration of new technologies with existing systems.
- Technology Implementation: Oversee the implementation of new technologies, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into our IT landscape. This includes managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Ensure that best practices in software development, security, and performance are followed.
- Agile Methodologies: Apply Agile methodologies to manage and deliver projects efficiently. Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality delivery.
- Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within our IT infrastructure and processes.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure that all IT solutions adhere to security standards and regulatory requirements. Implement measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in the following
- Query languages (e.g. T-SQL, KQL)
- Scripting language (e.g. Python, Powershell)
- Expertise in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs and their integration.
- Experience with ETL/ELT patterns for data processing and transformation.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Logic Apps and Power Apps.
- Experience with Trimble Vista software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering IT solutions in a complex environment.
- Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
