Solutions Architect

The Solutions Architect is a pivotal role in our IT department, responsible for designing and implementing robust technology solutions that align with our strategic goals. This position requires a deep understanding of both business needs and technical capabilities, ensuring that our IT infrastructure supports our growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements, translate them into functional design documents, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Solution Design and Development: Lead the design and development of scalable, efficient IT solutions that meet business requirements. This includes creating technical design documents and ensuring the integration of new technologies with existing systems.
• Technology Implementation: Oversee the implementation of new technologies, ensuring they are seamlessly integrated into our IT landscape. This includes managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Ensure that best practices in software development, security, and performance are followed.
• Agile Methodologies: Apply Agile methodologies to manage and deliver projects efficiently. Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality delivery.
• Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends. Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within our IT infrastructure and processes.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that all IT solutions adhere to security standards and regulatory requirements. Implement measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in the following
• Query languages (e.g. T-SQL, KQL)
• Scripting language (e.g. Python, Powershell)
• Expertise in Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs and their integration.
• Experience with ETL/ELT patterns for data processing and transformation.

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Logic Apps and Power Apps.
• Experience with Trimble Vista software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering IT solutions in a complex environment.
• Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
