Summary of Position:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) primary responsibility is to lead the business development strategy focusing on expanding our customer business and looking for new growth opportunities. This work includes strategic account planning, account development, relationship management, and performance management.

Essential Functions:

Maintain the current client relationships and identifying potential new clients
Responsible for contacting potential customers to develop relationships and sales to increase client base.
Research trends and create new opportunities to increase company growth
Collaborate with sales and account teams to ensure requirements are met, such as sales numbers and profit goals
Maintain a strong understanding of products and services, and innovating new ways to serve businesses
Identify and map business strengths and customer needs.
Arrange business development meetings with prospective clients
Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
Responsible for developing a quarterly compensation incentive for Denali’s sales organization based on the sale of specified products
Program Support for Account Executives
Deal Registration
Pricing Programs (eg: VPP)
Marketing ProgramsDemand Generation
Rebate Management

Joint Sales Calls with Account Executives/Solution Architects
Support Denali Account Executive Relationship Building
Account Executive Training/Education
Be responsive to customer needs, issue resolution, and good follow up
Use reporting tools to understand profitability, trends, and goal tracking
Document all activities via sales reporting tools provided
Monitor competitive activities in the marketplace and provide feedback in reporting and meetings

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position frequently communicates with other co-workers/clients who have inquiries about the various projects and other needs. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time. The employee in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operate a computer and office machinery such as a calculator, keyboard, copy machine, and printer. Frequently moves boxes with equipment weighing up to 25lbs across the building and/or to other offsite buildings for various project needs.

Required Education and Experience:

BA/BS degree or relevant experience
4+ years of experience

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree preferred or foreign equivalent in Business Management or related field, In lieu of degree 4+ years of relevant business development experience
IT product certifications a plus
Demonstrated Customer Relationship Skills
IT Product business development experience
IT OEM Certifications
Experience in Mobile technology use cases/solutions
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience in successfully developing and managing partner relationships
Demonstrated partner and customer relationship skills
Efficient at writing business proposals and presenting to executive teams
Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role
Proven sales track record
Experience in customer support is a plus
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
Communication and negotiation skills
Ability to build rapport
Time management and planning skills
Have in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition.
Strong negotiation skills with stakeholders
