General Description


The Manufacturing Technician’s primary responsibility will be to lead and coordinate processes and deliverables to support the introduction of new products and customers to meet customer delivery requirements at the target budget.


Essential Job Functions


Reading and Interpreting Customer Prints and Designs:

  • Analyze customer-provided prints and designs to understand project requirements to provide labor estimates.
  • Interpret technical specifications including critical to quality information and translate them into actionable tasks.
  • Identify potential challenges or conflicts and propose designs.

Leading NPI (New Product Introduction) Process to meet delivery and cost targets:

  • Lead and collaborate closely with NPI team to ensure BOM and drawing accuracy.
  • Facilitate development of product build plans with the assembly team for pilot production
  • Create work instructions to assist training and assembly process to achieve target production rates.
  • Utilize Lean and CI principles to drive process performance

Project Management and Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Coordinate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support project execution.
  • Maintain project change log and maintain drawing updates (i.e. red lines) to ensure accuracy
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement corrective measures as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.


Work Experience Requirements


  • Proven experience in reading and interpreting technical prints and designs.
  • Electrical panel or machine building experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose innovative solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, design teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Detail-oriented and thorough, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, project management software).


Physical Requirements


  • Light lifting of less than 50 lbs
  • Extensive typing and/or mouse operation - up to 8 hours a day


Education Requirements


  • Technical degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, industrial design, operations) or equivalent experience.
