Maintenance Technician II Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to perform general preventative and predictive maintenance on food manufacturing machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with setting up, adjusting, and repairing various types of equipment to ensure consistent safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including equipment setup and adjustment, to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to production floor maintenance calls from machine operators and perform assigned maintenance tasks to ensure continuous production.
  • Attend and participate in crew transition meetings and daily transition meetings with other Maintenance Technicians.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, instruction manuals, and mechanical drawings to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Use measuring instruments, calipers, and multimeters to diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting on 480-volt 3-phase systems, including blown fuses, repairing, and rewiring motors under qualified supervision.
  • Set up and operate various production equipment and machine tools, such as lathes, mills, welders, and make or rework required machine parts.
  • Perform basic PLC troubleshooting and ensure smooth operation of production equipment.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience as a mechanical/electrical electrician.
  • 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a mechanical understanding of machinery.
  • Some experience in forklift operations.
  • Ability to use a multi-meter.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
