Are you a full cycle Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist with Real Estate Construction & Development experience ? Our client in the inner loop area of Houston is looking for an energetic Accounts Payable Lead with either to join their growing team. Reporting to the Controller, this Accounts Payable position also interacts closely with all members of the accounting and management teams. The position is open to do the company's growth.
Duties:
Processes vendor invoices and associate expense reports for payment in AvidXchange.
Responsible for Accruals, Adjusting AP entries, matching, batching, coding, and entering invoices into the accounts payable sub-ledger along with AP account reconciliations
Responsible for Construction draws
Processes payments to vendors via check or ACH, including mailing checks and sending positive pay files to the bank.
Responsible for generating bi-weekly check runs and fielding vendor inquiries
3 way PO matching
Processes the year end 1099 forms and mails documents in accordance with applicable deadlines.
Qualifications:
4+ years of full cycle Accounts Payable experience in the development or construction industry
Experience processing Construction draws and other similar Development transactions
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
A degree is preferred, but not required
The ideal candidates for this position will be well organized, have a strong work ethic, and have good tenure in their last roles. Compensation and benefits for this position are very competitive.
