Work you'll do
As a member of our embedded systems pre-sales engineering team, you will work closely with our sales team to identify customer requirements, provide technical guidance, and develop proposals for our embedded software solutions. You are someone with a Proven track record of delivering for customers high-quality embedded software and hardware products on time and within budget.

Sell, shape, and deliver complex PES projects in a fast-paced, team environmentProvide expert domain and technical PES knowledge to shape our clients connected product strategy, roadmap, requirements, and technical platform decisionsWork closely with our sales team to identify customer requirements, provide technical guidance, and develop proposals for embedded software solutions.Develop and present technical proposals and documentation for our embedded software solutionsScope and oversee the development of connected product prototypes and proofs of conceptScope, estimate and oversee production level PES development and testing activitiesContinually develop your knowledge of PES across domains and technology platformsParticipate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to showcase our embedded software solutions
The Team
Our PES team helps clients transform their products, offerings and value chains into competitive advantages. We drive product development efficiency, improve flexibility, and increase responsiveness with our capabilities and global capacity. We work with our clients to advise, implement, and operate new products and features.
Required qualifications
Minimum 10 years of PES industry domain experience with Automotive, Tech, Consumer or Medical Tech productsMinimum 5 years of experience architecting and developing PES solutions with progressive technology platforms (ARM ISA, Qualcomm, Nvidia, NXP, etc.)Experience with embedded systems architecture, design, and developmentKnowledgeable in cloud-native technologies and processes including DevOps, CI/CD, OCI, Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStackExperience with software development tools and processes, including version control, continuous integration, and testingDepth of experience leading or managing teams (on-shore and off-shore)Bachelor's Degree Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveLimited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred qualifications
Prior PES sales, pre-sales and / or delivery experience with leading PES or Engineering organizationStrong knowledge of embedded software architectures, including firmware, drivers, and middleware componentsExperience with software development for microcontrollers and microprocessors, including ARM Cortex-M and Cortex-A processorsAutomotive industry specific know-how developing and maintain software development standards, processes, and tools e.g., Safety-critical RTOS, CANbus, LIN, ASPICE compliance, AUTOSAR, ISO26262, EB, Vector, and safety analysis toolsMedTech industry specific know-how e.g. IEC 62304, IEC 60601, HL7, DICOMFamiliar with standards in the design and development industrial control systems e.g., 5G, OPC-UA, ISA-95, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, ModbusExperience programming skills in C and C++Experience in the full product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering and solution design through new product introduction (NPI)Senior Project Management experienceManaging and executing projects in a multi-workstream environmentStrong oral, written communication skills and presentation skillsExperience with PowerPoint, Excel and Word
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the range is $185,000 to $309,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance
