The individual in this role will perform a wide range of loan servicing customer service duties with a focus on responding to inquiries from customers and market departments relating to all aspects of hazard insurance loss draft claims. Serve as the resident hazard insurance loss draft claim process expert by providing ongoing support to customers and market personnel. Answer and research inquiries relating to the hazard insurance claim process. Request and review all necessary documentation to evaluate how the insurance claim check(s) can be handled.Communicate decisions to the appropriate parties. Monitor all outstanding hazard insurance claims; update servicing system entries; prepare partial and/or final lien waivers; and order property inspections. Issue checks to third parties based upon repair/replacement contracts authorized by borrowers. Where necessary, reimburse borrowers based upon repair receipts submitted. Answer and/or research other mortgage loan inquiries and correspondence from customers and market personnel for prompt resolution to ensure accurate, efficient, and courteous customer service. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent One year of mortgage servicing experience preferred Knowledge of loan servicing procedures preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to initiate work activities with minimal supervision and exercise good independent judgement Strong customer service skills Analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ability to learn and apply regulatory and compliance requirements in day-to-day operations
