Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with claimants, employers, and healthcare professionals via phone and email to collect essential claim information, overseeing the claim process from initiation to resolution.
  • Collaborate with fellow case managers, nurse case managers, and consulting physicians to ensure timely and accurate claim evaluations.
  • Analyze complex medical documentation and utilize various resources to determine appropriate approval durations and future action plans.
  • Perform precise financial calculations in accordance with company and state regulations, where applicable.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by proactively identifying and addressing the needs of customers and claimants.
  • Must be located in the mountain or pacific time zone.
  • Training hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm PST.
  • Regular hours: An 8-hour shift between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm PST.

Qualifications

Essential Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, leave management, or short-term disability.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in absence management.

Compensation

Pay Range: $29.58 per hour. Actual base pay may vary based on factors such as work experience, education, location, and qualifications.
