Responsibilities

  • Be able to work a flexible schedule to include holidays and weekends
  • Valid Drivers license with no driving infractions for 5 years
  • Properly maintain and operate a company van and tool inventory
  • Properly maintain a mileage log and records related to proper hotel billing procedures as set forth by Crown Hotel and Travel
  • Pass a background check with no infractions for at least 5 years
  • Wear a provided maintenance uniform and nametag at all times on property
  • Supervise and perform routine maintenance throughout multiple properties to include painting, carpet/floor cleaning, minor electrical repair, pool repair, PTAC repair, hotel system and key system repairs, lock repairs, furniture repairs etc.
  • Supervise and perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, including the repair and/or replacement of air conditioning units, filters, drain lines, etc.
  • Maintain proper equipment and supply inventory; follow hotel operations procedures and communicate with the General Manager to ensure that orders are placed for any needed equipment, repairs and supplies
  • Perform minor repairs and/or replacements of room furniture, fixtures, and equipment to include television sets, light fixtures, etc.
  • Regularly check for required Preventative Maintenance (PM’s) for multiple hotels
  • Regularly check for required pool maintenance logs and be certified in pool maintenance for the states of South and North Carolina including any required counties
  • Smile, acknowledge, and greet guests while in guest rooms or any other area of hotel
  • Announce presence and enter guest rooms in accordance with Company standards and procedures
  • Respond to guest’s requests for immediate repairs
  • Assist other employees in various assignments, such as repairs in all departments within the hotels as needed
  • Report lost-and-found items in accordance with hotel procedures
  • Meet all brand compliance standards and QA set forth by multiple Hotel Brands
  • Maintenance of any Crown occupied office space as needed
  • Any other responsibilities as required by each hotel and each brand standard
  • Any other responsibilities as required by VP of Operations or President of the Company

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must reside in North Carolina in the following counties, New Hanover, Brunswick, Onslow, Harnett, Wake, Johnston, Lee, Carteret or Darlington, SC
  • Prefer at least one (5) years of related general repair experience, preferably at a hotel or multi-unit complex
  • Must have basic working knowledge of both indoor and outdoor pools, plumbing, painting, HVAC, electrical, and/or general repair skills
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
  • Must display very good organization and time management skills
  • Required to be mobile more than 95% of the time
  • Must be able to walk and climb/descend stairs approximately 70% of the time
  • Must be able to frequently kneel, reach, crawl, and twist torso as needed to accomplish required tasks
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance
