Twin Vee, one of the most recognizable brand names in the catamaran sport boat category, are known as the “Best Riding Boats on the Water™” with stable, fuel-efficient, and smooth-riding catamaran hull designs. AquaSport Boats are celebrated for their versatility and durability. With decades of experience in designing and manufacturing high-performance boats, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional products that enhance the boating experience.
We believe that the performance, quality and value of our boats position us to achieve our goal of increasing our market share and expanding the power catamaran boating market. We primarily sell our boats through a current network of 10 independent boat dealers in 14 locations across North America and the Caribbean who resell our boats to the end user Twin Vee customers. We continue recruiting efforts for high quality boat dealers and seek to establish new dealers and distributors domestically and internationally to distribute our boats as we grow our production and introduce new models.
Twin Vee is now seeking a new Director of Sales and Dealer Relations to lead, manage and grow how we bring our boats to market in our next phase of growth.
Position Overview
Twin Vee is actively seeking a dynamic, experienced, and results-oriented Director of Sales and Dealer Relations to lead our sales operations while cultivating robust relationships with both new and existing dealers across the United States and globally.
Twin Vee is in the process of developing and launching an innovative sales channel called “Pro Direct.” This web-based platform draws inspiration from modern automotive customer-centric sales approaches, such as Toyota’s “Smart Path.” This model allows consumers to shop, customize and price their boats, place orders, explore nearby inventory, apply for financing, assess trade-in values, and even arrange delivery—all from the comfort of their homes. We envision Twin Vee’s Pro Direct platform as a transformative solution that will enhance alignment among dealers and customers.
The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of the recreational marine industry and/or closely related sectors, demonstrated sales leadership skills, the ability to drive growth through strategic partnerships with dealers, and experience in establishing innovative sales channel along with a supportive post-sale community. This role will be pivotal in shaping the vision and executing sales strategies that align with our company's overarching growth objectives.
The Director of Sales and Dealer Relations will be responsible for a variety of tasks typical of similar leadership roles, including but not limited to:
Sales Leadership:
· Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that includes both a traditional go to market strategy with dealerships as well as a new direct to consumer sales channel to achieve Twin Vee’s revenue goals and increase market share.
· Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to meet and exceed targets, ensuring high performance across all levels.
· Oversee the sales pipeline, providing guidance and solutions to close high-value deals.
· Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to continuously adapt the sales strategy.
· Establish a dedicated support team to assist customers with adopting and actively using our Pro Direct platform for online purchases and inquiries, providing personalized support throughout the buying process.
Dealer Relations:
· Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing dealers to drive loyalty and consistent sales performance.
· Identify, recruit, and onboard new dealers to expand the dealer network both domestically and internationally.
· Serve as the primary point of contact for all dealer-related matters, ensuring alignment with Twin Vee’s strategic objectives.
· Collaborate with dealers on marketing efforts, promotions, and events to enhance brand visibility and sales growth.
· Develop comprehensive training programs for dealers to effectively manage their inventory and leads through the Twin Vee Connect platform.
Market Expansion:
· Work closely with the product development, marketing and operations to ensure that product offerings meet market demands and are positioned effectively in different regions.
· Evaluate and enter new markets by leveraging existing dealer networks, establishing new dealer relationships, and championing Pro Direct implementation and adoption by our dealers and customers.
· Attend and represent Twin Vee at boat shows, dealer meetings, and other industry events to build networks and foster relationships.
· Develop direct to consumer interfaces, including build to price tools and Twin Vee enthusiast community that increases brand awareness and encourages brand loyalty.
Strategic Planning and Execution:
· Collaborate with executive leadership to develop long-term sales and dealer relations strategies.
· Support the implementation and adoption of the Pro Direct sales channel with ongoing consumer engagement to build brand loyalty.
· Monitor sales metrics and dealer performance, using data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
· Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, dealer relations, and market insights to the executive team.
· Manage and optimize the budget for sales and dealer and consumer initiatives, ensuring resources are used effectively.
Candidate Profile
Knowledge & Experience Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
· Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales leadership, preferably within the recreational marine industry or related sectors (automotive, powersports, RV, etc.).
· Proven success in managing dealer relationships and driving business growth through strategic partnerships.
· Strong understanding of the recreational boating market, including product knowledge, customer preferences, and industry trends.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally (up to 50%) to meet with dealers and attend events.
· Proficient in CRM systems, sales forecasting, and performance analysis tools.
