Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Must maintain a friendly, positive attitude and above all maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Responsible for recruiting and developing all F&B premium services staff, including suite attendants, premium bartenders, runners, etc.
  • Corresponding with suite holders communicating menu changes/updates, special orders & events, filing billing & orders.
  • Coordinate specifics in Banquet Event Orders to set up team.
  • Manage set up and tear down of off-site and in-house events, match day events, tailgates, and game drops.
  • Procure event rentals from details in Banquet Event Orders, as the primary point of contact between hospitality and all rental companies
  • Manage and Schedule set up team.
  • Assist in the training of hospitality associates to ensure events are executed at the highest level of excellence possible.
  • Manage inventory of smallware's.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Premium, Hospitality Operations.
  • Shows flexibility by rotating to other service locations in premium department when necessary.
  • Promote the importance of sustainability.
  • Enforce all liquor laws and abide by County and State Health/Sanitation as well as Sporting KC standards.
  • Creating requisitions for all the premium spaces (matchdays) & warehouse.


Match Day Responsibilities
  • Full-time associates act as representatives of Sporting Kansas City at all home matches, engaging with guests and working to create Magic Moments for all fans.
  • Oversee match day catering drops and assigned all-inclusive spaces if no outside events are scheduled.
  • Schedule and coordinate food deliveries and transportation.
  • Attending all Sporting Kansas City home matches.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned, to ensure workload coverage.
  • Serves as a liaison with other event staff affecting the premium levels, including security, maintenance, event services, and guest services departments.
  • Suite administration, obtaining all CC authorization forms for the season, communicate par processes to suite holders & obtain par levels, communicate par levels with prep staff for stocking, communicate all deadlines to suites for upcoming matches/special events, assist suites with ordering when necessary as well as placing any all-inclusive orders or visiting team suite orders.
  • Work with Premium Operations Manager & Purchasing Manager on any special request for suite holders.
  • Close out all suite orders at the end of each match and charge the credit cards accordingly. Charge all auto-gratuities.
  • Download all receipts and send them to suite holders within two business days of each match.
  • Supervise operations of Audi Level, Argyle Suite, Victory Suite and Executive Level in coordination with Premium Operations Manager and Director of Premium.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings for staff, assist with any needs during operation. This includes all buffets, bars and suites on both levels.
  • Ensure all spaces are clean and broken down according to pristine standards, removing any linens or trash.
  • Return all paperwork to Premium Operations Manager.


Private Events Responsibilities
  • Writing/creating product requisitions for all events in conjunction with the Catering Operations Manage & Director of Premium.
  • Deliver and email requisitions to Warehouse Manager or Warehouse team.
  • Creating BEO packets to be completed by supervisors.
  • Coordinate pick up for all product requisitions with supervisors
  • Ensure bar setup is scheduled.
  • Pull and/or create menu cards for all events.
  • Coordinate task list with prep supervisors/prep team

Skills and Experience
  • Associates or Undergraduate level degree with an emphasis in hospitality, events, or catering.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years' experience in a management position in the hospitality or food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of effective food service techniques.
  • Possesses cutting edge food & beverage knowledge for operating a high-end business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
  • Strong knowledge and passion of the Kansas City market and local community.
  • Fluency to speak, read, and write in the English language.
  • Spanish fluency preferred, but not required.
  • Strong commitment to delivering a high level of standards and training the staff to operate in the same manner.
  • Guest service oriented.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Calendar.
