What You Will Be Doing Serve as a mentor to K-8 students, establishing trust and cultivating a mindset without limits. Leverage AI and adaptive learning platforms to customize educational pathways—students advance at their individual pace while you facilitate discovery. Create and deliver life-skills workshops (including public speaking, goal-setting, and collaboration) that equip students for sustained success. Build a culture rooted in curiosity, ambition, and development—support students in recognizing their strengths and passions. Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree in any subject. Demonstrated public speaking ability with a proven capacity to captivate and energize audiences. Genuine interest in connecting with, inspiring, and motivating students in grades K-8. 3 year’s experience coaching or mentoring children. Legal authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship. Commitment to working on-site at one of our campuses: Austin, TX; Brownsville, TX; Fort Worth, TX; or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ. Availability to participate in a paid training program hosted at our Austin, TX campus. About Alpha Alpha Schools has designed a new approach: AI-driven adaptive learning paired with peer-level mentorship, replacing lectures and textbooks. Students set their own pace. Your role is to guide them in uncovering their unique strengths, not to deliver predetermined lesson plans. We need high-caliber performers ready to direct that excellence toward transforming a failing system. You won't spend time grading assignments or adhering to rigid curricula. Instead, you'll facilitate workshops, spark curiosity, and demonstrate that when students take ownership of their learning, there are no limits. Phoenix: Over 300 days of sunshine annually, an active outdoor lifestyle, and a cost of living that remains accessible. Austin: A thriving technology center offering rich culture, abundant green space, and an energetic culinary landscape. Working with us This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
