General Manager Job Purpose
Stand Strong Fencing of Arlington is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our business operations. This role is pivotal in driving long-term profitability and ensuring that our company meets or exceeds its performance targets.
The General Manager will be responsible for learning and adopting our structured sales and management processes, completing required training, and implementing effective business strategies. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, generate sales leads and referrals, and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Additionally, this role involves leading a professional team to achieve daily operational excellence and upholding company policies and standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary between $65,000 to $85,000 (based on candidate experience), plus sales commission and performance-based bonuses.

Experience and Education:
- 3+ years of Sales experience
- 3+ years in a service/installation-related field/industry in a management/leadership role. (Sales-based Organization is preferred)
- Degree in Management or equivalent is preferred, but not required
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
- Experienced at reading, interpreting, and managing financial statements.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office or G Suite, QuickBooks or accounting software, and CRM software.
Primary Responsibilities
- Professional Representation and Community Engagement
- Serve as the professional representative of Stand Strong Fencing in all interactions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within the community and develop a robust network.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with construction vendors, including General Contractors, construction managers, architects, and engineers.
- Ensure all partnerships are aligned with company goals and project requirements.
- Study and analyze the current marketplace, competitors, and industry trends.
- Identify and pursue new business and marketing opportunities to drive growth.
- Oversee the daily operations of the business, including material procurement, subcontractor procurement, installations, production, and office/administrative functions.
- Maintain and manage inventory levels to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement growth strategies aimed at increasing revenue and profitability.
- Manage budgets effectively, analyze business results based on KPI reporting, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Oversee the ongoing training and development of managers and staff to enhance productivity.
- Evaluate the performance and productivity of direct reports and ensure the overall performance of the company meets established standards.
- Ensure all employees maintain a high level of professionalism and respond promptly to customer and employee issues.
- Interact with customers and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain high-quality standards throughout all construction projects, ensuring compliance with building codes, regulations, and client specifications.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring projects are completed within budgetary constraints.
- Provide owners with weekly or bi-weekly status reports on business and project progress.
- Complete vehicle inspections to comply with maintenance requirements.
- Travel as needed for progress and quality assurance checks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Owner.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead, mentor, and bring diverse groups together to work effectively.
- Strong understanding of construction, building codes, and building methods.
- Expertise in product, technical, industry, and process knowledge in relevant product areas.
- Project management skills for leading construction projects from planning stages through completion.
