Career Opportunity for a Materials Manager with a Tennessee Manufacturer located north of Knoxville


The following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.

Our client has reached out to our firm, iSource Group LLC, to conduct a search for this role. This is a key position for the company as the candidate will develop, implement, and manage sourcing, procurement, and inventory control strategies across two locations to optimize cost savings, efficiency, and product availability. The Materials Manager will manage procurement processes, including requisition, sourcing, purchasing, and delivery, ensuring alignment with company goals and operational needs.

The Salary Range is 90 to 100k+ based upon prior depth and breadth of work experience, education, and overall skill set.

Our client would like a candidate with the following Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

·         Minimum of 4 years in procurement and inventory management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role. 

·         Strong proficiency in ERP systems and inventory control methodologies, including cycle counting and variance analysis.

·         Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and locations.

·         Proven ability to manage and lead teams across multiple locations, driving cohesion and ensuring alignment with company objectives.

·         Strong negotiation skills, with a focus on building long-term, cost-effective supplier relationships.
