POSITION OVERVIEW

ProGeorgia seeks a temporary recruitment coordinator who will be in a key administrative support role within the human resources department and will be responsible for coordinating various HR functions to ensure efficient and effective HR operations. This role involves managing employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Recruitment Coordinator, reports to the Chief People and Culture Officer and is responsible for the following:


Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Assist with job postings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Schedule interviews and oversee the preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attend and conduct interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other human resources staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Use various sourcing methods, such as online databases and networking to find potential candidates.
  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identifies and implements effective recruitment methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the organization's needs.
  • Attends and participates in job fairs and recruiting sessions.

HR Administration

  • Create and coordinate HR-related events, such as training sessions, employee engagement activities, and wellness programs.

Employee Records and Documentation:

  • Maintain and update employee records, including personal information and employment documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and confidential handling of HR documents and data.
  • Prepare HR reports and assist with data entry into HR systems.

Compliance and Policy Adherence:

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure recruitment practices comply with labor laws, company policies, and equal employment opportunity regulations.
  • Assist with audits and compliance reporting as needed.
  • Create, maintain, and update HR policies and procedures.


PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Skills:

  • A strong understanding of and demonstrated commitment to social and racial justice, civic engagement, and activism.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to personal growth and development on issues of racial equity and diversity and to supporting others in growth around issues of racial equity.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills. Experience working in coalitions and public interest organizations.
  • Demonstrated skills in building strong supervisory relationships, including setting clear expectations, coaching and training toward performance, and giving and receiving feedback.
  • A good attitude and ability to work with multiple people with multiple points of view.
  • Experience (typically three years or more) performing Human Resources responsibilities, including full-cycle recruitment, project management
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office & Google Suites applications (Docs, Forms, Sheets)
  • Experience with working with a MacBook is required
  • Experience in Asana is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external partners
  • Exceptional time-management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in all tasks
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to multitask effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative on projects, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments, and effectively meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work.
  • Experience working with underrepresented and/or diverse communities.


EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a recruiting and a coordinator role.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software (e.g., HRIS systems) and Google Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of full-cycle recruitment and recruiting tools


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.


LOCATION

The position is located in Atlanta, Georgia, and the ability to work a hybrid schedule with some required travel (10%) is required.

COMPENSATION: A competitive hourly rate of up to $38.00, based on experience, plus a competitive benefits package including health and dental insurance.
