THE JOB:
The Bakery Admin Assistant provides essential administrative and clerical support to the bakery department. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations by managing various administrative tasks and upholding MGM Resorts International's exceptional guest service standards. By efficiently supporting the bakery team, this position indirectly contributes to creating unforgettable guest experiences and delivering WOW moments that define our brand.

STARTING RATE: $18.74/hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Guest and Staff Communication: Greet visitors and callers, address their needs, answer multi-line phone systems, direct calls to the appropriate staff/department, and respond to all general email correspondence from guests and staff.
  • Event and Order Coordination: Manage event and banquet orders, ensuring seamless communication between the bakery team and clients.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the bakery department, including data entry, filing, and answering phones.
  • Meeting and Document Management: Schedule conference calls and meetings for office staff, compile, copy, sort, file, and scan department documents.
  • Employee Certification Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee certifications within the Workday system.
  • Report Generation and Equipment Maintenance: May prepare departmental reports as needed, perform a variety of administrative tasks, and maintain office equipment as needed and coordinates repairs.
  • Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with functional department groups as necessary.
  • Purchasing: Prepare purchase orders for all goods and services purchased by the department.
  • Other Duties: Perform other job-related duties as requested.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Education: High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

  • Proven Administrative Experience: Demonstrated history of providing administrative support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Computer Proficiency: Excellent command of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email systems, and business intelligence tools.
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service through effective communication and phone etiquette.
  • Efficient and Organized: Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all work performed.
