About the Role

As a key member of the El Super team, the Bakery Clerk provides exceptional customer service and supports the bakery department in various tasks. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers in the bakery department.
  • Assist customers with bakery purchases and respond to their inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Clean and maintain the bakery department, including shelving and display cases, to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers.
  • Work with customers to take special orders and provide recommendations on bakery products.
  • Collaborate with the Baker to determine which items need to be baked or decorated.
  • Help maintain the department's cleanliness by hosing down floors with soap and water.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Food Handler Card or equivalent certification.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Physical stamina to lift, stand, walk, and kneel for extended periods.
