We are seeking a committed and passionate After School Program Assistant Coordinator to design and/or lead academic, physical, and enrichment activities as part of our East Bay After School Programs at Lockwood STEAM Academy. The purpose of the Assistant Coordinator is to provide additional daily administrative and logistical support for the Expanded Learning Program. This position provides hands-on experience for Program Instructors that are ready to take on more responsibilities, in addition to being in ratio with their students. Commitment to continuous youth development and connection to our communities and families are our top priorities.

Pay rate: $27-$28 per hour based on experience

Minimum Qualifications:

1-2 years experience in a K-12 setting
Available Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, afternoons until 6 pm
Commitment to social justice, youth leadership and development
Be able to maintain confidentiality and handle multiple priorities and strict deadlines

Preferred:

Commitment to a full school year
Commitment to participate in professional development
Bilingual - English/Spanish

Responsibilities:

Assist the Program Coordinator in all aspects of the day-to-day operation of the program at the school site
Support program coordinator in supervision and safety of the program
Create, plan, and facilitate engaging enrichment and physical activities for students
Promote a safe and positive emotional climate in the classroom and on the campus
