We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Program Instructor to join our team at Bay Area Community Resources. As a Program Instructor, you will play a vital role in leading academic, physical, and enrichment activities for up to 25 youth in an expanded learning setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain the emotional well-being of the students.
  • Provide a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Be a positive role model and mentor for struggling students.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that support school-day learning.
  • Run community circles based on restorative practices.
  • Collaborate with youth to support their learning and development through youth-driven curriculum.
Requirements
  • Some experience working with youth or in a school setting is required.
  • Ability to reliably commute to the program location.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance.
  • Commitment to education equity and leadership.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commitment to a full school year.
  • Ability to practice open, clear, and consistent communication.
  • Commitment to participate in professional development.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
