SCOPE:

The Driver / Crew Leader entails, driving a diesel powered straight truck to transport and deliver office equipment or packaged form. It supports commercial deliveries made within a 500-mile radius from our facilities. Drivers / Crew Leaders perform all functions of a move manager, physically lifting and moving, supervising crews, managing paperwork process, managing Driver App process, interacting with the customer, and performing as an agent and representative of the Company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Active Class "B" CDL License with airbrake endorsement

* Prior moving & storage or furniture delivery experience a plus

* Experience as a crew leader or supervisor

* Must pass a DOT physical

* 1+ years of experience driving with a commercial license

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible for transport of office goods, furniture, or other items from origin to destination.

* Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.

* Responsible for maintaining clean, safe, operating condition of assigned vehicles and equipment.

* Maintains electronic log book in accordance with FMCSA regulations.

* Manages workers and performs loading and unloading goods, material, and equipment.

* Adheres to all safety, OSHA, and DOT regulations per the Company Safety Program.

* Adherence to drug-free workplace policy.

* Manages on-site crews to ensure efficient and effective service and delivery to clients and homeowners. May be required to commit to over-night stays as required.

* Actively participates in moving materials, equipment, furniture, office supplies, and managing packing and crating of valuables and hard-to-move items.

* Maintains tool kit for the installation, assembly and breakdown of furniture or other items for transport.

* Performs as liaison with customer service reps, dispatch, and warehouse staff to meet delivery schedules and client expectations.

* Responsible for accurate and complete driver application paperwork; securing signatures, collection of payment, and reconciliation of discrepancies.

* Submit necessary data to substantiate crew man-hours, travel time, and report any incidents.

* Responsible for proper operation and care of issued mini-iPad device and equipment per the Company IT Acceptable Use Policy.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

This position is physically active, requiring the driver to not only drive between sites, but also to perform moving duties, lifting and placing furniture, equipment, and other client articles.

* Capable of lifting 50+ lbs.

* Capable of sitting for long stretches of time

* Capable of walking up and down stairs and ramps

* Extensive walking and carrying involved

* All kinds of weather may be incidental as scheduling demands
