The mission of Relief Nursery is to prevent the cycle of child abuse and neglect through early intervention that focuses on building successful and resilient children and strengthening parents.
Our staff work as a team to provide a unique array of comprehensive family support services from therapeutic classrooms to substance use disorder recovery support, that are easily accessible to parents with children birth to six years of age who are at high risk for abuse or neglect.
At the core of Relief Nursery is the belief in focusing on, and building upon, the strength of each family we serve.
We've recently added a second Bilingual Therapist positon to our roster.This is a unique opportunity to serve families in our programs by providing therapeutic support and skill development to children in an early childhood classroom setting, as well as family therapy, basic needs support and case coordination, in their native language We believe that supporting families when children are young brings the greatest change and we are searching for an individual that wants to be a part of the multi-disciplinary team that provides that assistance.

Responsibilities
- Provide emotional, social, and behavioral support during all classroom hours using Positive Behavioral Support Interventions, and attachment-based, relational engagement with children to promote healthy social-emotional development
- Keep young children safe in accordance with Relief Nursery standards and applicable laws and regulations
- Work with team members to engage struggling family members and bring them into services under difficult circumstances
- Conduct family, group, and individual therapy with young children
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments
- Develop treatment plans with age appropriate goals and measurable objectives based on children's assessments
- Write progress notes and other required documentation to maintain client files in accordance with applicable Relief Nursery standards and the OARs
- Collaborate with relevant teams in implementing services for children and families
- Coordinate services with team members in order to best support the goals and objectives specified on the child's IFSP (Special Education), and ISSP (Mental Health)
- Support data collection and documentation on progress toward goals
- Maintain all required documentation and paperwork in accordance with Relief Nursery and other relevant standards
- Collaborate with teams in classroom curriculum planning and implementation
- Conduct home visits, phone calls, and other interactions with families
- Assist with child/family orientation to Relief Nursery programs and services
- Participate in designated team and all staff meetings, training, supervision and Relief Nursery special events both during the day and periodically in the evenings
- Maintain CEU's and other educational requirement of the position
- Act in accordance with responsibilities and protocols set forth in Oregon Child Abuse Reporting laws and Relief Nursery policy
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned

i. 12 hours of in-classroom time (skills training, group therapy, individual therapy
ii. 7.5 hours individual/family therapy outside of class hours
iii. 1 hour case management
iv. 1.5 hours of collaborative team meetings (concentrated in two weeks of the month)

Minimum Requirements
Bilingual in English and Spanish:
Applicants must be able to pass a Spanish Language Proficiency test, allowing them to be certified as a CLSS provider with the State of Oregon, within the first 30 days of employment.
Assistance will be provided with this process- Knowledge of and lived experience with Latino/a families and culture
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker or other clinical licensure preferred, with the desire to support families using a holistic and team-based approach. Applicants must be able to be certified as a Qualified Mental Health Professional with the State of Oregon. Assistance will be provided with this process.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of and lived experience with Latinx families and culture
- Experience supporting children and families experiencing poverty, stress, and other barriers
- Experience working in an early childhood setting supporting children with social, emotional and behavioral challenges
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team member, understand developmentally appropriate early childhood practices, and child guidance techniques consistent with a therapeutic approach
- Experience and training in conducting family, group, and individual therapy and skills training with young children
- Experience conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and knowledgeable application of DSM diagnosis
- Experience developing treatment plans with age appropriate goals and measurable objectives based on the assessment
- Knowledgeable in writing progress notes and other required documentation to maintain client files in accordance with applicable Relief Nursery standards and the OARs
- Ability to maintain progress notes and treatment plans in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to support people who are under stress
- Ability to work effectively and respectfully with a diverse population
- Proficient in computer use
- Good physical stamina with the ability to lift and interact with children by bending, kneeling, sitting at child-sized tables and chairs, and on the floor
- Ability to write professionally
- Current valid driver's license with acceptable driving record/insurance coverage
- Current Pediatric First Aid/CPR and Food Handler's cards
- Successful completion of a criminal history records check as specified by Oregon law
