Job Title: Child and Family Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Child and Family Therapist to join our team at Homeless Children's Network. As a Child and Family Therapist, you will work with children and families to address the traumatic effects of homelessness and violence, and provide comprehensive mental health services, case management, family education, and support services.

About the Ma'at Program

The Ma'at Program is a supportive holistic therapeutic community that centers and works with African American/Black families in San Francisco. Our program is focused on seven cardinal virtues: balance, order, righteousness, harmony, justice, truth, and reciprocity. We provide individual and family therapy, mobile community outreach, culturally-based referrals, and community organizing and advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and family therapy to children and families
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide culturally-based referrals and support services
  • Participate in community organizing and advocacy efforts

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work/Social Welfare, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly in BIPOC communities
  • Registered with the Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) or active in the registration process
  • License-eligible or licensed in California
  • Experience with EPSDT (MediCal) and issues related to homelessness and domestic violence
