Director Of Business Development

Elite Brands was founded in 2000. With an initial vision of providing national food products to US military commissaries, Elite was launched with one brand, Tropicana. Today, Elite is the primary supplier of over 40 brands and hundreds of products to military commissaries and exchanges around the world. In 2022, Elite finished its year with $73 million in sales and was again recognized as being one of the top 20 suppliers to the military commissaries and exchanges.
Job Overview:
Elite Brands is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead new business recruitment initiatives, with the potential for growth into a key HQ Sales role. This position offers a competitive salary, quarterly bonuses, comprehensive health care, a matching 401K, and annual profit-sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Vendor Partner Recruitment:
- Drive the recruitment of new vendor partners, focusing on both Exchange and Commissary markets.
- Evaluate opportunities to ensure alignment with company goals and assess the overall impact on the business.
- DeCA HQ Presentation:
- Prepare and participate in presentations to DeCA HQ, working closely with key stakeholders to ensure success.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
- Interface with Sales and Marketing departments to align strategies and objectives.
- Elite Brands Business Model:
- Learn and apply the Elite Brands buy/sell business model.
- Master tools such as SDS, Tableau, EOS, and others essential to the role.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and Marketing teams.
- Strong knowledge of market share data, with experience in IRI or Nielsen.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel is required.
- Experience in the grocery industry, either in Retail or Military sectors, is preferred.
- Salary: Competitive base salary
- Bonuses: Quarterly bonuses (to be determined).

- Location: Ideally near Richmond, VA, or Norfolk, MA. No qualified candidate will be excluded based on location.
- Travel: Some travel is required, but it will not be extensive.
- Training: A tailored training schedule will be crafted after location specifics are finalized.
