We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team You will be responsible for the design and development of intelligent systems and industrial systems control.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Derbyshire Machine & Tool Company, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and safety of our cutting-edge defense systems.

  • Conduct thorough quality assessments, inspections, and audits throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Identify areas for process improvement while working on continuous enhancement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement effective quality control processes.
  • Analyze and interpret technical specifications and blueprints to ensure adherence to compliance standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in design reviews to provide insights on manufacturability and quality requirements.
  • Review work orders, routers, and prepare for release.
  • Approve Derbyshire Machine & Tool purchase orders for technical accuracy.
  • Document all technical procedures and user guides.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer who possesses:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field - Advanced degrees are a plus.
  • Experience in quality engineering within the defense industry or a related field.
  • Proficiency in quality management tools, statistical analysis, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulations within the defense sector.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with CAD or other related software.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ASQ, Six Sigma, ISO) are a significant advantage.
  • Deadline and detail-oriented.
  • We will train in all areas.
