Redwire Space has a current opportunity in our Littleton, CO office for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer(will consider all Senior Levels). In this role you will be developing highly reliable SoC/SoM/FPGA firmware for Redwire developed power management systems, flight camera, camera controller, and star tracker hardware. This highly visible role is an excellent opportunity for an exceptional individual to become integral to the development of our space navigation and payload products.  The ideal candidate will be motivated, positive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesWork with software, hardware, and FPGA engineers to propose and develop software solution(s) to meet system specifications including performance requirementsWork with the team to author / conduct software static and dynamic analysisWork with the team to draft and release relevant software documentation such as requirements specifications, design specifications, and design documentsIdentify and acquire necessary software components to address requirements including in-house prior art, commercial IP, and selective open-source solutions that have acceptable quality and license provisionsCollaborate on the development of Agile Epics & Stories to meet project objectivesCreate, organize, and estimate tasks required to meet story objectives including verification and/or demonstrationCollaborate with SQA on test concepts, plans, and integration of testing into the development cycle.Effectively document software designsPresent and defend software solutions to other Engineers and customers (as required)Work cross functionally on projects with other teams across Redwire SpaceSome occasional travel may be requiredIdeal ExperienceBS/MS Degree in CS, CE, EE, Math or related fieldA minimum of 8 or more years of experience building and shipping high reliability embedded systems using embedded LinuxBackground in software development process, experience using the Gitflow workflow modelExperience with development tools including Atlassian and Jenkins automationPrevious work experience with operating systems fundamentals such as schedulers, network stack, file system & memory managementExperienced in software architecture, memory mapping, caching, DMA, interruptsExperience with SoC/SoM/FPGA system design for hardware interfaces such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Camera Sensor Interface (CSI) & EthernetUser and proponent of Agile methodsProficiency in C, C++US Citizenship requiredDesired SkillsExcellent communication skillsExperience with RTOS and/or Embedded Linux device drivers and bootloadersExperience in image processing for camera-based sensor applicationsExperienced PythonExperienced with Microcontrollers Experienced with JavaScript and or React Experience with the YOCTO environmentExperience with Doxygen or other documentation generator toolSalary Range:$138,000 to $190,000 annually
