Heidelberg Materials North America, previously known as Lehigh Hanson, operates more than 450 locations with approximately 9,000 employees in the U.S. and Canada.

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Site Supervisor to join our Southeast Concrete team in Auburn, AL. The Site Supervisor reports directly to the RMC Area Manager.

What you'll get to do
  • Ensure effective, efficient and financially responsible operation of concrete production plant
  • Supervise site employees
  • Lead safety & health for your site and ensure regulatory and company policy compliance
  • Schedule customer orders and address the needs of the customer
  • Coach and train site personnel on safety, customer service and plant operations
  • Maintain accurate cement/materials and fuel inventories
  • Dispatch independent haul trucks to maximize routes
  • Troubleshoot and address any plant issues that may arise
  • Maintain daily/monthly reporting requirements
Essential Experience and Skills
  • At least 3 years of ready mix concrete plant production or in construction materials or a closely related industry
  • Proven strong customer service and communication skills
  • Motivation and ability to embrace all the aspects of the job such as accountability for the people, assets, and performance of the site; work fluctuating hours; and personally, doing manual labor such as repairing equipment, shoveling, and lifting
Work Environment
  • Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions
