Job Purpose:
Health Ministries Clinic is looking for a full-time Bilingual Patient Service Representative. The hours are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. The Bilingual Patient Service Representative (PSR) works as a member of Health Ministries Clinic team in an integrated primary-care/behavioral health setting. The Bilingual PSR assists providers in caring for patients by scheduling appointments, taking phone calls for the clinic, and bridging the gap between language barriers. PSRs do participate in staff meetings, and staff training as required for the job role. The PSRs work closely with patients to ensure the accuracy of their dental appointments, personal information, and billing information.
Qualifications:
- Minimum education: High school diploma/GED required
- 6 months experience as a medical receptionist or medical records clerk preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is required
- Experience with customer service and multi-line phones is preferred
- Computer knowledge, and ability to work independently with little direction requires
- Medical terminology/procedural knowledge strongly preferred but not required
- Bilingual ability in Spanish is required.
