Patient Service Representative

Atrius Health is a leading healthcare organization dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to over 690,000 adult and pediatric patients at 30 medical practice locations in eastern Massachusetts.
Our team of 645 physicians and primary care providers, along with 420 additional clinicians, work in close collaboration with hospital partners, community specialists, and skilled nursing facilities to provide coordinated, cost-effective care to every patient we serve.
Job SummaryUnder direct supervision, this role receives incoming calls and inquiries, assists patients in managing appointments and care, and plays an integral role in supporting our patients through a variety of support duties that facilitate the work of an interdisciplinary coordinated care delivery model.
Responsibilities- Provides extraordinary customer service and strong problem-solving skills to strengthen the patient/clinician relationship.
- Must have clear verbal and written communication skills to ensure improved patient access and understanding.
- Assists patients in managing appointments and care, and provides support to patients and families as needed.
- Works collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required.
- A minimum of one year in a clinical or customer service setting preferred.
- Computer experience required with the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Electronic medical record (EMR) experience and/or aptitude to master the EMR based on other technology experience required.
