Job Description: We are seeking a highly-skilled, experienced Medical Office Receptionist to join our growing team at Brownsville Family Medicine . This position offers flexible hours, competitive compensation, and benefits such as holiday pay, PTO, and 401K. Pay is based on experience.

Job Responsibilities: Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations, including HIPAA.

Greet, register, instruct, discharge, and provide general assistance to patients.

Obtain and record demographic, insurance, and financial information.

Verify insurance eligibility and communicate payment policies.

Collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and past-due balances.

Retrieve and fax/mail medical records per patient request.

Answer telephone, take messages, and return voicemails.

Provide clerical support as required.

Maintain positive relations with clients and employees.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Medical office experience and familiarity with basic medical terminology preferred.

Ability to work independently and in a high-pressure environment.

Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Must have an outgoing and compassionate attitude.

Minimum Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)

Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)

Schedule: 8 hour shift

Monday to Friday

Rotating weekends
