We are seeking responsible and experienced individuals to join our team as Hayride Drivers during our busy fall season. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor and pulling a wagon to shuttle patrons around the orchards. Your friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and commitment to safety will contribute to creating memorable moments for our guests.

Description:

  • Safely drive a tractor/ people mover to shuttle patrons
  • Ensure the safety of passengers during the hayride by following all applicable traffic laws, driving cautiously, and maintaining control of the vehicle
  • Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking the hay wagon, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude, answering questions and engaging with passengers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the tractor and wagon, checking for any mechanical issues or safety concerns
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including proper loading and securing of passengers, ensuring the wagon is not overloaded, and maintaining a safe speed
  • Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel immediately.
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hayride equipment and surrounding area.
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate hayride schedules and ensure timely departures and arrivals
  • Assist with general farm duties and maintenance tasks as needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the hayride
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly sit, stand, and walk
  • Work outdoors
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Previous experience operating a tractor and/or driving larger vehicles is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent safety awareness and adherence to traffic laws and regulations
  • Ability to engage and entertain passengers with informative and engaging commentary
  • Physically capable of boarding and disembarking the hay wagon multiple times and assisting passengers as needed
  • Work weekends, holidays, and weekdays
  • Must be available to work the fall of 2024
